What the certificate must say
Every Oakville lease I've read requires all four:
- Named insured = you (the tenant)
- Additional insured = the landlord (their legal name from the lease)
- Liability = minimum $1M, most landlords now require $2M
- Effective date on or before your move-in date
Miss any of the four and the property manager will refuse keys. Square One's online certificate covers all four fields by default.
